*sniffle*
i'm sick. so sick. i have a cold. and it sucks. i have a... i'm not sure what it's called... a head cold? is that right? i don't have a fever or headache, but my sinuses hurt, sore throat, coughing, sneezing, watery eyes (similar to allergies, but lasting a week instead of a day!) called in sick today. left work early yesterday. asked the babies' daddy to pick them up from daycare last night and keep them overnight. how can you be so congested, yet your nose won't stop running? i need to stuff my nostrils with cotton balls or something.
i got my bike back. not until i saw it at the shop did i realize how much i missed him so! unfortunately, it's been raining since i got him with the exception of yesterday and today, which doesn't help because now i'm sick! the battery was replaced and now he runs like a champ. but while i was there, i sat on a brand new gsx-r600. hehe. the best part? it weighs less than my yzf600, is much cuter, and shorter! the seat height is 31.9 AND they can lower it a maximum of 2 more inches! hmmmm... one more thing to add to my list of "when i win the lotto". hehe. have a good weekend and bundle up!

in the middle of fucking traffic. on my way to my motherfuckin job after lunch. one fucking city block away from work. at the red fucking light.
my bike stalled on me.
and i couldn't get it to start again. the engine would turn, then die. then finally, the battery gave up and died, too. i wasted 2 hours on the side of the fucking road and had to pay $160 to get my shit towed. why so expensive? because they need to bring a truck with a fucking bed. and why doesn't AAA cover that? i dunno... they just don't cover towing for motorcycles, but they'll do gas, locksmith, blah blah blah. fuckers!
it's a BRAND SPANKING NEW BIKE!!! only a couple of months old. luckily, the guys that sold me the bike are good to me, so no matter what the problem is, they'll write it off somehow as under warranty, in case it's not. but it should be. i take SUCH good care of my baby. it's garage kept and i'm following the instructions re: breaking it in. there is absolutely no reason it should've died on me. and yes, i had enough gas. at least the motorcycle community are good people. they tried to help when they saw me. even riders that were in their cars.
i'm looking outside the building, watching the most beautiful thing i've seen in a long time. the sun in shining brightly but it's raining. you should see the clouds, with the sun's rays coming through.
my new boss is a major asshole. i mean, they say he's gone through 6 assistants in the last year and a half. one girl only lasted 30 minutes before she left in tears. the girl i replaced filed a complaint because of his anger control issues/outbursts. but he's been cool so far. let's hope it stays that way.
i hardly ever go to the mall unless it's for christmas shopping or if i'm with my bff, adrienne (she's always dragging me to a mall somewhere). but yesterday i had to work late so my ex picked up the kids for me. i met him at the mall because he took the kids there to run some errands. so i ended up walking by petite sophisticate. now, i love that store. that's where i get all my work clothes. they're nice, classy, and made for short chicks. but i don't go in there too often because their shit is EXPENSIVE! i mean, a regular suit is $250. slacks are never less than $50. so you have an idea of the clothes there. anyhow, i see the store and then see a sign for 60% off (usually it means something ugly on the clearance rack). but i thought i'd try my luck, maybe i could find a cute shirt or something. i start looking and notice that none of the tags have the sale price. so i asked the sales girl if the sales price would be marked on the tag or rack, or what. then she tells me that the ENTIRE fucking store is on sale! not only that, but there was an additional 15% off. there were some shit for 80% off already, with another 15% off, etc. that got the wheels in my head spinning. i looked at my kids and told them "have a seat because mommy's going to be a while". so i just start piling shit on the counter. "hold these, i'm not done". hehe
i got jackets! i guess the best way to describe them would be like the really cute fitted and short blazer type jackets? i think i got 6 of them. i love those jackets, but they're expensive. they cost between $60-$100. i have a brown one and a black one but i'm swimming in them since i bought them before i lost weight. so i got one in pink, green, blue, white, gray, black. hehe. i'm so happy! i don't have to shop for the rest of my life! well, at least for work.

i gotta say.... it's pretty cool when you can pick up a really nice $100 jacket for $20. hehe.... and i got a $70 jacket for $11, and a $80 jacket for $17... and... well... you get the idea.

well, this year is starting out pretty smooth. but then again, i've only been awake for about 4 hours. these are not new year's resolutions, per se, but a target date to start making some changes. this year, i will:
quit smoking! but i mean, for reals. i attempted maybe 3 or 4 times in 2005 and would last a couple of months or so at a time, but i'd fall back because of "stressful situations", such as sale of house, purchase of house, divorce, new job, being a single mom, etc. but it's time to get rid of those excuses, right?
go back to the gym. i haven't been eating right or working out since sept! i'm starting to get blubbery again, and we all know how fucking hard i busted my ass to lose weight, only to put 7 lbs back on in a matter of 3 months! and do you know how long it took me to get that weight off? 7 months! ugh. again, my excuse was no time to hit the gym because after work, i'd have to work on the old house to get ready to sell or do stuff for getting the new house.
eat right. i've been living off fast food since sept because i "never had time". as a stay at home mom, i used to cook all 3 meals a day at home everday, so it was easy to watch what i ate. i can count on one hand how many times i've cooked a meal at home since sept. sad, huh?
take some time out for me. that's usually the gym, but i'm thinking something more meditational, like yoga or something.
stop spending money. with the down payment on the house and everything i've bought to furnish it, i could've probably bought 2 escalades.
have fun with my kids. take them to more ball games, designate a "game night" where we can play board games, now that my son is old enough to play SOME games.
whew! and that's it for this year. there's more stuff i need to work on, but one thing at a time, right? i don't want to overwhelm myself and fail, so this year, it's mainly going to be about my health.
just wanted to say hi. i've missed you all. been terribly busy and i hope i'm back to normal by the end of january. i got my bike. my little black beauty. what a cutie! here he is.
